Month two of Snooker Nation season 1 has seen me win 3 matches out of 4 putting Jason further behind. It was at least good to see Jason win his first match in over a month, but for some reason, Jason really isn’t playing his best. I have been beaten hands down loads of times in the past and Jason has had some really long win streaks of his own. These stats make me out to be a much better player, which really is not true. It could well be that I am the better Snooker Nation player, but not on this scale. I hope Jason isn’t disheartened and comes back fighting in September.
My win streak continues and yes, once again, I won 4 frames to 2 in a best of 7. There were two century breaks, Jason scored 115 in the 3rd frame, narrowly increasing his highest break this season and I bagged a huge break of 134. I continue to find it interesting that so far, of the 10 frames Jason has won, 5 of those have ended in a century which could have easily been 8 since no less than 3 of his frame wins so far have had a break in the 90’s with points remaining on the table.
Jason has finally broken my win streak and got his first win of our Snooker Nation season. What’s more is that Jason traditionally never wins when we play a best of 9 but on this occasion he did, winning 5 frames to 2. While on one hand I am disappointed that I lost, I am happy that Jason won for a change. Unfortunately there were no century breaks this week, but I came close with a break of 98 with plenty of points left on the table.
This week both Jason and I were not feeling very well yet, somehow, we scored 4 century breaks between us. In the 1st frame I scored 131, in the 6th Jason scored 130, making this his new highest break of the season, in the 7th I scored 112 and in the 9th frame I got a massive 135. It was also a close match with me winning 5 frames to 4 in a best of 9.
While there were no century breaks this week. It was certainly entertaining, at least for me. This was the most unlucky game of Snooker Nation Jason has had to date. Nothing seemed to go right for him and I won 5 frames to 1 in a best of 9.
Played | Won | Frames Won | Centuries | Highest Break | |
Copper | 8 | 7 | 32 | 7 | 139 |
Jason | 8 | 1 | 20 | 6 | 130 |
You know me, I will always come back fighting, I may not win, but I will fight on! But last week was a disaster, I swear that there was some sort of conspiracy against me, ignoring my lapses of concentration this week, potting colors when I was on a red, twice, the amount of times I went in off was unbelievable.
